Recently retired after 23.75 years as a Principal Manufacturing Engineer for an electronics Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), previously certified soldering instructor for IPC-A-610, Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies (16 years), J-STD-001, Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies (16 years), IPC-7711/IPC-7721, Repair and Rework (12 years), also previously certified instructor for IPC/WHMA-A-620, Electronic Cable and Harness Assembly (8 years). Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Instructor (14 years). Fourteen years of Tool Crib supervisory experience. Developed calibration procedures for verifying solder stations/solder pots. Developed training on the troubleshooting/repair of solder stations and other Tool Crib items. Use a Wahl ST2200 calibrated solder station tester and custom embedded thermocouples (for EDSYN, Hexacon, several models of Weller, and Hakko) to verify the performance and accuracy of solder stations/pots we sell. Have extensive knowledge of distributors, reps, and many factory contacts to acquire parts and technical information on our items (and perhaps the items that you have in your inventory).
